User Collection Tool: What Is It?

It is a web-based application used for documenting your digital media files (images, video, audio, etc.) from anywhere on grounds or, for that matter, in the world where you have Internet access.

You use it to:
  • Collect metadata on your files.
  • Organize your media into different categories.
  • Maintain metadata on your categories.
  • Publish the information out to the Web.

In addition, you may export your data to an XML file format.

This application is designed to support the Digital Media Lab's efforts to assist faculty in building small collections for use in teaching, etc.
